She was predeceased by her husband Thomas in 1998 and son Matthew in 2014. Barbara was a RN and worked for many years at Good Shepherd Fairview Home and Rivermede Manor. She was a former member of the Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church and its Mothers Club. A lifelong New York Yankees fan, Barb regularly attended spring training games and team events while living in Florida.
Since Barbara was born in January, she enjoyed celebrating “1/2” birthdays in July. The family will honor that tradition and hold a service of remembrance on Saturday July 7 at 11:00 am at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 10 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Holy Spirit Cemetery. Take me out to the ball game
Take me out with the crowd
Buy me some peanuts and crackerjacks
I don't care if I never get back
Let me root, root, root
For the home team
If they don't win it's a shame
Aahh.
For it's one,
Two,
Three strikes you're out
At the old ball game
