David Allen Warne, 63, of Chenango Bridge was brought to our lord on Tuesday, July 19th, 2016.

Superman- A man with exceptional physical or mental ability; David Warne was the definition of a superman. He was brought into this world on May 9th, 1953 and for those who were lucky enough to know him knew that there was nothing Dave couldn’t do. He built the house he lived in, ate from the garden he grew, drove the cars he built, and hiked the highest peaks of the Adirondacks. He was not only a provider, a husband, a father, and a best friend, he was also the foundation of a strong and close knit family.

He married Michelle Rose on August 7th 1982 who survives. Also surviving are his beloved family Amy, Michael, Brian, and James (Christine) Warne and beautiful granddaughter Kendall, his sisters Sue (Bill) Gilbo, Mindy (Norbert) Braun, and Patti (Steve) Noel, brothers Steve and Burr, Jr. (Lisa) Warne. He was predeceased by his parents Ellen and Burr Warne and his son Kevin.

Dave graduated from Chenango Valley High School in 1971 and attended the College of Environmental Science and Forestry at the State University of New York in Syracuse. He held the position of Vice President and Senior Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch in Binghamton where he was employed for 20+ years.

David was a proud Freemason where he held the title of Past Master of St. Marks-Vestal Lodge #435 F&AM. He aimed to better himself personally and continuously helped to improve the quality of life for others along the way. Dave was also proud member of the FLT Hiking Club.

Dave always brought everyone together with open arms with his contagious sense of humor and exuberant positivity. He had always said he would be positive until his last breath and that he was. He had a long battle with cancer but remained the strong super hero that all his family and friends knew him to be.

“God saw you getting tired, and cure was not to be. He put his loving arms around you, and whispered, “Come to Me.” A Golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove he only takes the best.”
