Elaine L Russell, 85 passed away November 28, 2016 at the  Willow Point Nursing Home.  Elaine was born August 18, 1931 in New Milford, PA.  She graduated from Binghamton Central High School. She worked for the Red Cross for several years and enjoyed crocheting dolls and afghans as well as having family gatherings at her home. Elaine was survived by her brother Charles Huften of Sun City Center, FL who went above and beyond ensuring his sisters comfort in her later years; sister Beverly Ward and her husband Terry of Sand Springs, OK;  brother in-law Richard Elwood of Tonopah, AZ; sister in-law Grace Huften of Newburgh, NY; her daughter Kathleen Manzer and her partner Ed Mapes.  She is also survived by several grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren and several nieces and  nephews, and a very special person she loved with all her heart, Alice Pond of Ithaca, NY. Also a special thanks to grand-daughter Julie Shampang who spent many years taking care of her grandmother.  Elaine was predeceased by her parents Carl F Huften Sr. and Bertha J Huften of Binghamton, NY, her son Edward F Osterhout of NY, her sisters Jeanne Gould and Maxine Elwood of AZ, her brother Carl F Huften Jr. of NY, brother in-law Thomas Gould of AZ and sister in-law Sally Huften of MD.  She is also predeceased by Tracey VanVoorhis who was always willing to help her Aunt when needed.  
Cremation services provided by the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home Binghamton, NY.  There will be no services or visitation.
