Today the Nobel prize in Chemistry was announced and Stanley Whittingham was the recipient. I wanted to reach out to Sean to congratulate him and his University of Binghamton. Then I discovered Sean's obituary. August 12, 2017. Just two years ago. Sean would have been exited for Stanley to have been laureated with the nobel prize. Wendy, If you happen to read my posting then I hope sincerely that you and your family are coping well with this great loss not only for yourself but also for the energy storage community. Bart

Shocked to hear of this, Sean was a great friend and flatmate through our years at Oxford. We ran so many miles together but lost touch after he went to the USA, now gone too soon. Thoughts are with the family.
