Jocelyn House, 60, passed away on Tuesday, May 31st 2016. She is predeceased by parents Bennie House and Pearl Chambliss; brother, Stanley Chambliss; and beloved daughter Tamira House.  She is survived by her son Tisheem Coleman; grandsons, Andre Guccia, Tashaun Jenkins, Taijer Coleman and Daysean Dobson; sisters, Trina Jones and Patricia Williams; brothers, Derrick  Chambliss,  Bennie Jr and Luther House ; sister-in-law, Henrietta Chambliss.  She is also survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, god-children and friends.  Jocelyn was known for her kindness and way to make everyone feel welcomed. Her openheartedness made her a second mother to many of children’s friends. If you knew her as Ms. Jocelyn, Ms. J, Joc or Ma; you knew you were always welcome in her home.  Jocelyn loved to cook, have cook outs and play cards with her friends.  Jocelyn was a great friend to many; she was there to make you laugh, listen to you cry and make you a good cup of coffee to feel better.  The light of her life was taking care of her grandson Tashaun (Boonka). She left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. 

The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 pm Tuesday at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton.
