Joyce I. Smith, 92, of Chenango Forks died January 6, 2015. She is survived by her longtime partner, Richard Mulkey, her children, Sue Bullock of Clayville, NY, Sydney Peterson of  Lemoore, CA and Roger (Dorothy) Smith of  Florida, 6 grandchildren, Scott and Kevin Rounsville, Natalie and Marc Peterson, Steven and Brian Smith, 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Her son Alan died in 2012. Joyce was a longtime member of the Glen Castle United Methodist Church. For many years she was manager of 100 Chenango Place Apartments in Binghamton, where she also delivered newspaper and operated her own Avon route. She retired at the age of 80. She enjoyed reading and shopping.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday at the Glen Castle UMC, 371 Castle Creek Rd. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00-2:00 pm and also at a luncheon following the service. She will be buried in Chenango Valley Cemetery at the family’s convenience. In lieu of flowers, consider memorial gifts to her church.
