Katherine Belfiglio, 92, entered into Eternal Peace on May 24, 2017 and is now reunited with all those who entered before her. As she entered the gates of Heaven she was greeted  by her beloved son Anthony and her sister Nancy Fiume.  Katherine resided with her devoted daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and William Zulko, where she was provided with love and compassion as she was cared for with the onset of dementia. After eight years her disease progressed and she was given a new home at the Good Shepherd Fairview Home, where once again she was surrounded amongst love and compassion. The last ten years of her life were her happiest as she was finally given what she had always wished for- love and respect. Katherine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Kathy and William Zulko, her son and daughter-in-law Donald and Barb Barber, her daughter Lauretta Barber and her daughter and son-in-law Rose and Paul Fischer. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as a sister and brothers. Katherine will always be remembered for the love she gave to others,  especially through her fine Italian cooking and cookies. She found great joy in being able to provide this to her family and asked nothing in return except to be loved. We would like to extend our appreciation to the Good Shepherd Fairview Home and the entire staff for the love and support they showed Katherine over the last two years. Katherine was truly among family there and we are forever grateful. "She made broken look beautiful and strong look invincible. She walked with the universe on her shoulders and made it look like a pair of wings."
