Laurie M. Stanchak, 54, of Windsor died September 1, 2016. She is survived by her husband John Swald, of Windsor, her parents John and Stella Stanchak of Binghamton, one brother Stephen (Deb) Stanchak  of Windsor, one nephew  Kyle, her in-laws John and Linda Swald, special friends Roger and Cheryl Pete and her friends and neighbors in the Village Manor apartments in Windsor. She was predeceased by one brother, John "Sonny" Stanchak in 1999. Laurie enjoyed her longtime career in the hotel hospitality industry, having worked at many area hotels over the years, most recently as general manager at Holiday Inn Express in Vestal. She simply adored her nephew Kyle.

Memorial services will be 7:00 pm Wednesday at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 pm. A private burial will be in the family plot in St. Mary's Russian Cemetery, Thompson, PA.
