Maria Muskatenblit Basecki, 96, of Binghamton, passed away Saturday February 18, 2017 with her daughter and grandson at her side. She was born January 29, 1921 in Poland. Able to survive the horrors of the Holocaust she became a veterinarian and later moved to the United States. She is survived by her daughter Jadwiga Basecki of Binghamton, her son Richard Basecki of California and her cherished grandon Mark Salkowitz of Johnson City.

She will be buried at Temple Israel Riverside Cemetery on Thursday at 10:00 am,  Rabbi Barry Baron will officiate.
