Maria Theresia (Reichl) Corby April 18, 1929 – January 4, 2018 Maria Theresia (Reichl) Corby, 88, of Binghamton passed away January 4, 2018 surrounded by family.  She is predeceased by her mother and father.  Maria was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her daughter, Claire and husband Michael Glenn of Florida, son Keith Fancher and wife Cathy Schurr of North Carolina, and son Gary Fancher and girlfriend Brenda Stevenson of Binghamton, NY.  Maria has 5 grandchildren:  Emily Guyer, Jessie Madison, Ashley Jacobson, Kevin Herrmann and Brian Herrmann and 4 great grandchildren. Maria was born in Salzburg, Austria in 1929 and moved to the United States when she married. Maria retired from Endicott Johnson after 31 years of service. Maria surprised her family in 2014 by becoming a United States citizen. This was a dream she had for many years and she was proud of this accomplishment as was her family. Maria had wonderful friends and neighbors who she cherished throughout her life.  Many of her dear friends helped her during her time of need. Special thanks to Clair and Betty Jones, Norm Johnson and April Krissell, Jena Johnson, Glenn Corby and Sheila Wilson, Nick and Cindy Glowacki, Mary Cavallaro and Marie Cavallaro and Joe and Maryanna Stenta.    The family wants to extend our thanks and appreciation to all of Maria's dear friends that shared her life and their times together.  Maria Corby started her journey as one of heavens new Angels.  She was kind, caring and always willing to help others.  She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Rest in Peace, Mom  The family will receive friends at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango Street, Binghamton, NY on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Lourdes Hospice Home Care, Nurse Peggy Hust and associates. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial donation in Memory of Maria Corby to Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Old Vestal Road, Vestal, NY 13850.
