Rita R. (Borzik) Dolhon

 

Rita R. Dolhon, 83, passed away March 23, 2018. She was born Easter Sunday April 1, 1934. She is survived by her loving family; her sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony M. and Theresa Dolhon of Pennington, NJ and Francis and Rosalind Dolhon of Woodstock, GA, two grandchildren, Alex and Lindsey and one brother, George Borzik of West Wyoming, PA, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Anthony Dolhon. Rita was a long time member of the Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church where she enjoyed participating in many church activities, especially volunteering for their BINGO nights. Throughout her married life, Rita enjoyed family vacations. As a family they crisscrossed America and visited almost every state. She also enjoyed casino trips, playing pinochle, doing puzzles and in her younger years she was an avid bowler. In recent years she enjoyed her time at  Hilltop Manor where she enjoyed joining in their social activities where she made many new friends.  She also was an election poll worker for the Town of Chenango.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church, 360 Clinton St. Binghamton. Burial will be in Holy Spirit Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 pm. A Panachida service will be held at 5:00 pm.
