Robert L. Blandford, Jr. 74, died April 9, 2018. He is survived by  his significant other, Kathy Weathers, his daughter Renee` Scott, his siblings, Chickie Blandford (Henry Swan), Douglas Blandford (Billie), Rodney Blandford and Creta Blandford, his grandchildren Essence Padilla and Devin Mires, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert L. and Barbara Blandford, Sr. and a sister Carol Blandford.

Robert was a prominent drummer in the area for over 50 years, having performed with countless bands and groups, including Pierre and The Citations, Crystal Ship, Steppin Out, Black Diamond Express and the Susquehanna Pirate Kazoo Band. He retired from Eureka Tent Company.

A memorial service will be held 7:00 pm Thursday at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the BC Humane Society. A musical tribute will be held at a later date to be announced.
