It's been two months and I'm still expecting to answer my phone and hear Bill asking "What's going on?" I realize this will never happen but after 35+ years, it's going to take a while to shake that off.
Tons of memories from nights out, going to shows, going to ballgames, gatherings at his house, birthdays, working with him, Grandma's house, etc, etc.
The one thing I will always remember about Bill is that if we talked on the phone for 2 hours or 2 minutes, we would ALWAYS both be laughing hysterically. I'm going to miss that the most. He was a great guy and a great friend and I miss him terribly.
Randy and Jared, I love you guys and don't hesitate to call - Tim Solyan

I was very shocked and saddened to hear that Bill had passed on. I had a lot a fun times with him that I will always remember. Randy and Jared, he loved you both so much and did everything he could for you. I enjoyed spending so much time with all of you back in the day. You didn't know this, but you all helped me get through some hard times then. I'm so very sorry and hope you both are well.

This news just knocked us out. It came so soon after brother Roy. Bill helped us so much at that time, for which we are forever grateful.
Bill was such a good friend to Roy...those two could discuss music like no others. Hopefully they are doing so right now.
He was very proud of his boys, and rightly so.
Our very sincere condolences to you both.

Randy, Jared, and family: Your dad was a good friend. We (Chris and I) met you all 12 years ago and spent the better part of two years hanging out hearing Randy play and going to all of Jared's games and championships. To me, you are still (and always will be) family. Please know that I am here if you need anything. I truly do understand what you are both going through. Just smile...laugh...thinking that he and Chris are hanging out right now, driving each other just a little bit crazy! Hugs and love, Sue Shayka

Thank you Bill. To his sons, of whom I have only ever seen Randy play; and to his family and friends, I wish you peace. In the grand space of all eternity, a human lifetime is a fraction of a second. Your fraction was too small but you made it count.

Bill was a wonderful guy, gone much too soon. Condolences to his family and all of his other friends. Still in shock over his loss. The other guy I know who was even more of a music fan than I am.

Randy, Jared and family - I am so sorry. Your Dad and I met a few years ago and we quickly became buddies, bonded over a mutual love of music. Not one phone conversation went past where I didn't hear about how well Jared was playing ball or who Randy was playing with. He was so proud of you both. I share in your sorrow. Your dad was truly a very special person who gave of himself to each one of his many friends. Anything you need, please let me know. My deepest condolences ...

First I want to give the family of Bill my deepest sympathy. I have known Bill for about 15 years when he lived with his grand mother on Baldwin Street I also live on Baldwin at the top of the hill last house on the left. I do remember his love for music and he taught me a lot about music of all kinds . We were very close for many years until I enlisted in the service . I want you all to know that the fun and times I had with your father were some of the best times of my life. I wish you all the best .
