Dear Eric,

We were so sorry to hear of sweet Caren's passing when I ran into Sharon on the street. Though I had only met Caren a time or two over the years, I was always impressed with her kindness and warm heart, not to mention her bubbly laugh and gorgeous smile. Her kind spirit radiated from within. May you find peace and solace over time. It is not easy. Much love to you and to your parents.

Mr. Eric, I am truly sorry for the loss and pain that the Strong family and friends are feeling because of losing Caren recently in death, way too soon. Most of us have had to endure the sorrow of losing a loved one in death. What helped me the most was prayer and faith in God's promises like found here at 1 Corinthians 15: 26 and it tells us: "And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing." Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick," ever again. God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises, including the resurrection. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection.

I would like to thank everyone who came to Caren's funeral service and for the kind greetings, words and prayers provided. We will all dearly miss Caren but please continue to remember her in your heart for the joyful, caring and comforting woman she was to all who knew her. I had blessed with 16 plus years of wonderful marriage. May her spirit live on in the wonderful hands of God our Creator. May the Lord bless all of you!

To Eric and the members of Caren's family,
I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of this incredible woman. She always had a kind word and an abundance of optimism to share. She was the kind of person that would do anything for anyone anytime and did... truly one in a million. She was relentless in her pursuit of knowing everything she could about anything she ever heard of. She wore a constant smile that was contagious.....even when she was sick. Amazing..inspirational..authentic..selflessly kind.....that was Caren. Let the loving embrace of our heavenly father give you comfort as she flies with the angels.

Warmest regards,

To you, Eric, and to her mom, and sister and her family:
My deepest condolences. I'm grateful that I was able to spend some time with her recently. I promised Caren to show her the pictures of my trip to Iceland.... and so sad not to be able to share them with her. She was my greatest fan and came to all my travel presentations.

Caren Strong was my best friend.
She was there for me when no one else was, and I will always love her for that.
She was the kind of girlfriend that you could talk to about anything, and we would share conversations about the mysteries of life.
She told me once that she wished we could just mind meld.
She was so genuine, generous, and caring that I called her Care Bear, and she laughed every time I did.
She had a kind word for everyone, and it came to her easily because she saw the best in people.
Curious and optimistic about life, nothing held her back, and I trusted her opinion completely.
She loved music and dancing, laughing and surprises.
She could be soft and sweet and she could be bold and daring. She was an extraordinary lady!
It wasn't easy for her to tell people she was hurting because she didn't want anyone to be sad.
She bravely faced those things by herself.
She loved her husband, he was her strength.
And although she left us too soon, I am sure that she is excited to experience her next adventure.
I know God lifted her up gently, and holds her close even now.
Because she is a precious soul, a gem and I am going to miss her dearly.
Goodbye Caren,
I look forward to when we can talk, laugh, and dance again and it will be just like we were never apart.
I love you!
S
