Surrounded by her loving family, Charlotte "Lee" Tinkunas, 73, passed into the loving embrace of her family in Heaven, on Sunday September 22, 2017, after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her father Charles Tinkunas, her mother Mary Vasina, step-father John Vasina and sister Mary Elizabeth (Liz) Susko. She is survived by her siblings, Mary Tanner (Jim Malonis), Jack and Jill Vasina, Margie and Joe McCarthy, nieces and nephews, Danielle (Tyler) Kuhn, Katelyn McCarthy, Mark Susko, Michael (John Smith) Susko, Michelle (Anthony) Bilotta, Heather (Josh) Burnett, Stephen (Heather) Vasina, Chris (Audra) Pickard, Wally Tanner and Jim (Sarah) Tanner, several great nieces and nephews and her best friend Jeanne Paone. Lee retired from the Physical Therapy Dept. at UHS Wilson Hospital after 47 years of service. She was an avid Yankees fan and enjoyed her daily visits with her Mirabito family for her coffee and scratch-offs, but most of all she enjoyed her family. She possessed a kind and giving spirit and always put the needs of others above her own needs. For the kindness shown, the family would like to thank the nurses and doctors of UHS NT3, especially Dr. Wacendak and Dr. Emery.
