Donald R. Ross, 81, died April 9, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his beloved family. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Patricia, his children; Anthony (Janet)Ross of Windsor, Terry Ross of Hillcrest and Donna (Tom) Burchell of Myrtle Beach, SC, 5 cherished granddaughters, Kathryn (Danny) Mounts, Karoline (Adam Harder) Ross, Kristine Ross, Jennifer Ross and Jamie Ross, one great-grandson, Jesse Ross, his sister-in-law, Shirley Gilinsky, brother-in-law, Richard (Kathy) Sampson, lifelong friends, Bob Coyle, Jon Palmatier, Danny Tallet and his “Tuesday beer time” friend, Pete Silba, several nieces, nephews, cousins and his beagle Chico. He was predeceased by his sister Betty Lou Ross. Don served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. For many years he worked with his father and sister in the family business – Ross’ Radio and TV. He retired from the SOB Binghamton as a New York State Security Guard. He loved owning racehorses, casinos and scratch-offs and always had a dog or cat at home. He was an avid Mets fan. Memorial services will be 11:00 am Friday at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 am. Consider a gift in Don’s memory to either the American Lung Assoc. or the BC Humane Society.
