Wrapped in the love of her family, our mother and grandmother Dorothy D. Swawola,  ended her earthly journey December 20, 2017 when was lifted by the Angels into the loving embrace of her family in Heaven.  She was 78.

Dorothy was born in Johnson City the daughter of William and Amelia (Weingartiner) Krasko. For many years she worked as a cashier at Giant Markets until her retirement. She enjoyed her work, especially interacting with the customers. She also enjoyed watching "her soaps" and other favorite shows on television, along with collecting angels. Her greatest joy though was the time she spent with her family at family gatherings.

She is survived by her children, Stephen Swawola of Pennsylvania, Darleen Empet of Port Crane, Douglas Swawola of Apalachin, Tamera (Jeff) Perrego of Conklin, and Edward (Jennifer) Swawola of Windsor, her daughter-in-law Angie Swawola of Harpursville, 10 grandchildren, 4, great-grandchildren, a sister Joyce Krasko of Greene, NY along with nieces, nephews, friends and her beloved dog Taylor.

She was predeceased by her son William Swawola in October and her former husband Stephen Swawola in February, also her brother Jerry and sisters Virginia, Bonnie and Phyllis.
The family appreciates the personal care and attention provided by the staff at Lourdes Hospital in Dorothy's final days and extends to them their deepest appreciation.

Let Me Go

When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little-but not too long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that we once shared
Miss me-but let me go

For this is a journey that we all must take
And each must go alone.
It's all part of the Master's plan
A step on the road to home

When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds
Miss me but let me go.
