I am greatly saddened that because of the coastal blizzard here in Long Island I am not able to share in the memorial services for my beloved grandmother, Eileen Giordani. My condolences are lovingly sent to each of my family members while they celebrate her life. I mourn her loss in my own way today, while my thoughts are with my family.

My Nana was such a special women. She always gave the best life advice to everyone in need. She was a vibrant classy women. She had strong family values that she instilled in each of her children, grandchildren and even her great grandchildren that were fortunate enough to learn from her wisdom of many years. She had a strong moral compass of which her ideals were set upon.

Most of my memories of my dearest Nana are from my younger years growing up. She hosted beautifully prepared family dinners at her my Grampa Tony’s home on Riverside Drive. She was a wonderful cook. She made the best holiday cookies and desserts ever. You could tell the love she put into each delectable morsel. As a child I remember towers of gifts to open on Christmas.

She was quick witted and had a laugh that could fill the room. She made up her mind to do what she wanted and stuck to it no matter what. She lived life to the fullest. She will be forever missed, but the wisdom and values she shared will be instilled in me forever.

May the Lord take her into his loving arms where she is reunited with her husband, parents and brothers and sisters.

Love, Renee
