Esther E. Gardner, 83, of Whitney Point died July 16, 2017. She was predeceased by her parents Leo and Glady Gorton and a son Robert S. Drooney, Jr. She is survived by her children Katherine Gardner of Whitney Point, Robin Gardner, of NC, Randy (Ethel) Gardner of Whitney Point, Margaret Dunn (David Ellsworth) of Binghamton, Ann (Phil) Anderson of Pensacola, FL, John Drooney of Pensacola, FL and Ellen (Earl) Griswold of Binghamton, her sister Bertha (Al) Gurney of PA, a sister-in-law Mary Jane Drooney of Vestal daughter-in-law Mary Macek of Johnson City, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Esther was a volunteer for Vista. She enjoyed reading, traveling, fishing and  remodeling her home. Her greatest joy was her family.

The family will receive friends  Thursday from 10 am- 11 am at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home 483 Chenango St. Binghamton. A graveside service will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Johnson City.
