George Hayden Burts

George Hayden Burts, 79, of Binghamton died July 11, 2019. He was predeceased by his wife Theresa, three children Penny, Mary and George and a grandson Robert.  
 
He is survived by his daughter Laurie Burts, his siblings Ronald (Nancy) Burts, Roger Burts and Dennis (Tracy) Burts, his daughter-in-law Dorothy Burts, his grandchildren Taylor, Dennis, Samantha, Angela and Elizabeth, great-grandchildren, Aalliyah and Niklas and nieces and nephews and his pets - his dogs Hogan, Rock, Saddle and Duke, his cat Spunky and his bird Ricky.
 
George was born in Hallstead, PA, son of George and Mary Burts. He was raised on the family farm on Burts Road in Kirkwood. He loved the great outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
 
The family will receive friends Monday from 12 noon until 1:00 pm at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton. A funeral will be held at 1:00 pm, concluding with the presentation of Military Honors by the U.S. Navy.
