James V. Scanlon

 

James V. Scanlon, 74, passed away Feb. 3, 2018. He was predeceased by his sister Sandy Leuci. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Elaine (Gibbons) Scanlon and their children: Jennifer Hamilton, Kimberly Krause (Charles), and James V. Scanlon Jr. (Kimberly), 8 grandchildren; Bradley (Melissa), Abigail, Elaine, Emily, Kalie (Ki-Jana) Charles, Kierra, and Angel, 1 great-granddaughter; Grace his aunt Delores Sage of Florida, his sister Phyllis Woodruff (Emerson) of Afton, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Jim retired from NYSDOT after 32 years of service.

Funeral services will be 12 noon Thursday at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to the Community Baptist Church Building Fund, 743 Chenango St. Binghamton, NY, 13901,  in Jim's memory.
