Jerry Joe Staples

  Jerry Joe Staples, 70, died June 6, 2019 at the Syracuse VA Medical Center following a long illness. Jerry is survived by his beloved family, his three daughters Anika Staples, Amber Smith and Alicia Smith, 6 grandchildren, Julia, Josephine, Jasmine, Aaron, Sophia and Anthony, his sister Helen Price and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Born in Dadeville, Alabama, Jerry graduated from Zana High School and later served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He later worked as a mechanic and truck driver. The viewing will be Thursday June 13 from 10 am - 11 am. His homegoing funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Burial with Military Honors will follow in  Bath National Veteran's Cemetery, Bath, NY.
