Marlene Rose West Johnson

Marlene Rose (West) Johnson, passed away September 9, 2019 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA.  Marlene was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was raised in Windsor, NY by her parents Clarence and Georgene Strawn. She worked for many years as a waitress and cook in various restaurants, including Marian's Pizza in Windsor. Marlene loved her family deeply. She enjoyed cleaning, cooking, baking and sewing, as well as hunting, fishing and camping.
 
She is survived by her children, Chris (Amanda) West and Cody (Mallory) West, 6 grandchildren; Jaiden, Alexa, Joscelyn, Adriana, Jace and Brody, her former husband John West, her mother and father Georgene and Clarence Strawn and siblings Skip Strawn, Rhonda Stoeckel, Jim Strawn and Darlene, mother-in-law Elizabeth Dilello, sister-in-law Brenda Benjamin, nephew Matthew Benjamin and other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Craig West in 2014.
 
A memorial service will be held 12:00 noon Saturday at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton. Pastor Kevin Rollo will officiate.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of service at noon. A luncheon reception will be held at the Windsor Free Methodist Church after the conclusion of the memorial service.
