Peter “Patch” Stasko, born September 11, 1933, passed away August 22, 2017, at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, NY, at the age of 83. The last-born son of twelve children, Peter is predeceased by his parents Michael and Emelia, brothers: Michael, Nicholas, Walter, John and Andrew, sisters: Julia Amelia (Millie), Mary and Olga, son Jimmy and granddaughter Brittany Farrell.  Peter is survived by his wife Shirley, children: Lynn (Rich) Farrell, Lori (Joe) Frost, Lisa (Chris) Warner, Kathi Weidow, Bill Stasko, and Peter M. Stasko. He is survived by Laurie, his compassionate caregiver and by his brother George and sister Irene. Peter “Bobo” was blessed with thirteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and his loyal four legged companion, Callie. Peter loved his family first and foremost and was extremely proud of his Ukrainian heritage. Peter served his country in the United States Army. Retiring from IBM, Peter was an employee for more than a quarter century. His great loves were horseshoes, hunting in his younger years, raising beagles, and he truly enjoyed his polkas. Hands down, Dad was the best cook, mentor, and father. We will forever be grateful for the time that we had with him and he will always be in our hearts. His kind spirit now flies with the angels. At Peter’s request, there will be no formal memorial service. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Humane Society or a similar act of kindess. Cremation services provided by Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home. The family invites you to sign his guest book.
