The Honorable William P. Tully, Jr., 63, of Windsor died at his home October 23, 2017. He is survived by his four children, Tonia Kerry of Tallahassee, FL, Thomas and Andrea Tully of St. Petersburg, FL, Tasha Tully and Kristopher Snover of Atlanta, GA, and Tiala and Jimmy Wilson of Ft. Benning, GA.  He will be dearly missed by his eight grandchildren, Tylon, Kylah, Kaleb, Patrick, Erin, Elliot, Eva and Cosmo, his mother Dorothy Tully of MA, siblings Larry and  Jan Tully, Thomas and Debbie Tully, Bobby and Donna Tully, Marian and Bob McGee, as well as many dearly loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including Dianne and Nate Hall. He was predeceased by his father William, his wife Michele and his grandson Elijah. William served his country in the U.S. Air Force, after which he embarked on a career as a NYS Trooper. He loved being a State Trooper and it was a great source of pride and joy in his life. He retired in 2004 from Troop C in Kirkwood. He enjoyed travel, was a skilled woodworker, loved animals, and he enjoyed his weekly poker games with his poker buddies. He loved to make people laugh and will always be remembered for his sense of humor and making people feel good. In recent years he continued his service to the community by serving as a Town of Windsor Justice, a position he held until his death.


A gathering to celebrate his life will be held during the week of the July 4th 2018. More information will be provided at a later date.

The Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home at 483 Chenango St. Binghamton assisted the family with cremation services.
