Thomas Michael Rigo, IV

Our beloved little Superman, Thomas Michael Rigo, IV, took to flight on January 1, 2019 after a courageous 3 month and 13 day long battle with his heart ailment. His life was brief, but his courageous spirit and beautiful smile were inspirations to all who love him. He is survived by a large and loving family which includes his parents Thomas Rigo, III and Cassidy Ann Wolcott, grandparents, Thomas Rigo, Jr. Lisa Gumaer, Joseph Wolcott and Lisa Woodward, great-grandparents, Mary P. Smith, Yvonne Dropinski and Cathy Woodward, aunts and uncles, Thelma and Richard Cope, Casey Dropinski, Ameria Al-Shimmary, Amber Wolcott, Sabrina Wolcott ,Jordan Rigo and Dillon Rigo, along with many cousins, extended family and friends.

Thomas' family is deeply appreciative and grateful to all the medical staff at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital in Syracuse and the Golisano Children's Hospital at the University of Rochester who worked diligently to try to save Thomas' life, as well as the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester for all the special care and assistance they gave to his family during his hospital stay.
A memorial service will be held 6:00 pm Tuesday at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton, Pastor Debra Wilson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-6:00 pm.
