Adam Regenbogen, 77, of Nineveh, died August 10, 2024. He is survived by his wife Helen; children, Stacy (Dustin) Regenbogen-Dean, Candice (Benjamin) Engelhart, Jason Drwal and Alex Regenbogen; grandchildren, Emmalie Engelhart, Marcus Miner and Eli Miner; brother-in-law Burt Rothenberg and his best friend Alan Hochberg. Adam was predeceased by his parents William and Paulina Regenbogen and his brother-in-law Saul Rothenberg.
Adam's parents were Holocaust survivors and he was born in a Displaced Persons camp in Austria in 1947. Adam graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a MSW and Temple University with his degree in Law. He formerly worked as a Workers Compensation Law Judge for New York State. In addition to his own, Adam deeply loved all children. Over the years, he and his family hosted many Fresh Air Fund children and foreign exchange students. He also loved animals, especially his dogs Elvis and Priscilla and his cat Mini. Adam was a member of Temple Concord, the Afton Sertoma Club, Bainbridge Lions Club and Windsor Masonic Lodge #442.
A Masonic service will be held 10:00 am Monday August 19 at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton, immediately followed by a religious service officiated by Rabbi Leiah Moser. Burial will follow in Chenango Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Delaware Valley Humane Society PO Box 182 Sidney, NY 13838.
