Castle Creek: Anita J. Pixley, 80, passed away November 17, 2024. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, John Pixley; children Sandra Brown and Richard Pixley; grandchildren Vanetta Rosevear, John Brown, Naomi Brown, Naolyn Winn, Bethany Conklin and Julie Brown; and 6 great-grandchildren; Cynthia Winn, Alexandra Luke, Teagan James Gomez, Issac Conklin, Ellah Gomez, Atlas Nieves.
Anita was born February 4, 1944 to William & Vanetta Beaune in Lewiston Maine. She was a proud Blue Devil and graduated from Lewiston Highschool in 1963. She Married Leonard Marcotte and moved to Chicago Illinois where she had her first child. In 1967 She moved to Skokie Illinois and worked in the office at a local car dealership. In 1974 she moved to Castle Creek where she purchased her forever home, re-dedicated her life to the Lord and spent over 32+ years sober. She retired Broom-Tioga BOCES in Binghamton where she worked as a Data Entry Operator and met her husband John. She loved Boating, Visits to Old Orchard Beach, Whale Watching, Fishing and was a lifelong member of The North American Fishing Club. The holidays were a special time for Anita and she loved decorating and spending time with family. Anita found peace at the end with hope in her faith in God and looked forward to being reunited with her beloved dog Tippy at the Rainbow Bridge.
A memorial service will be held 6:00 pm Friday at the Grace Baptist Church, 33 Howard Avenue, Binghamton. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. The family will greet friends at the church Friday from 5:00 pm - 5:50 pm. She will be interred in Vestal Hills Memorial Park at a later date.
