Anna B (Laskowski) Woysnar Obituary

Anna B. (Laskowski) Woysnar, passed away peacefully at home Saturday September 25, 2021. Born December 18, 1925, in Scranton, daughter of Thomas and Mary Laskowski, and also the wife of the late Anthony "Tony" Woysnar. Ann (Andzia) was a graduate of West Scranton High School and was a licensed beautician. She worked weekends as a hairdresser while working full time at Vail Ballou Press for 30 years. There, she met her friends Ann Galli, and Helen Holbert. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church and the Church of the Holy Trinity. Andzia was extremely proud of her Polish heritage and traditions. She spoke Polish with her family, neighbors and enjoyed conversations with her lifelong friend Zosia Porzuczek. She was deemed best pierogi-maker in the family! Ann enjoyed dancing, swimming at the J.C. "Y", knitting, crocheting and sports; especially Duke, Mets and the K.C. Royals. She was a loving mom, grandma, great-grandmother and "Boppi," who inspired all with her powerful determination, strength and endless sense of humor - her laugh was contagious! Anna is survived by her brother John "Jack" (Theresa)  Laskowski; daughters Betty Woysnar and Maria Homenchak; grandson Anthony; great-grandchildren Heather, Joshua, Justin, Jessica, Marley, Dylan; several great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Ann was preceded in death by her husband Anthony; brother Thomas (Wanda) Laskowski; sisters Sophie (Joseph) Strazewski, Helen (Henry)  Poshusny; son-in-law Peter Homenchak; granddaughter Kristy Homenchak; niece Bonnie Bardunias; God-daughter Paulette Merchel.
