Arthur Harold Belles, 71, completed his tour of duty March 20, 2026, after a long illness. He is survived by his children, Lori Osborn and Jordan Belles; grandchildren, Daniel, Brittany and Brandon Osborn; great-grandchildren, Victoria, Kolten and Anastasia; his siblings, sisters Brenda Belles, Susan Taylor, Linda Briggs and brother Heber Belles; several nieces, nephews and cousins and special friend, Fred Kelley, whom the family thanks for all his support.
He was predeceased by his parents, Heber and Evelyn Belles; brother Fredrick and a granddaughter Julie Osborn.
Arthur served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He later joined the Army Reserves and served in the 484 Engineers. Arthur was a member of the Marine Corps League John W. Thurston Detachment, where he served several years as chaplain. He enjoyed playing bass guitar, bowling and spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Thursday March 26 at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton. Entombment will follow at Vestal Hills Memorial Park, where Military Honors will be conferred. The family will received friends at the funeral home from 4:00 - 6:00 pm Wednesday. The Marine Corps League will conduct their service at 5:45 pm.
