Arthur "Joe" Edwards

 

Whitney Point: Arthur Joseph Edwards, 78, passed away June 9, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife Phyllis and his children, Lisa Edwards (Thomas Conlon, Jr.), Julie Edwards (Thomas Donato) and David Edwards; his grandchildren Kassandra Edwards and Joshua Nowak; two brothers, Thomas (Delia) and William (Paula) Edwards, nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends and his furry companions Shadow, Sophie and Princess. Joe was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Delores Edwards and a nephew Paul Edwards. Joe was a member of St. Marks Episcopal Church and the Point of Light Masonic Lodge, and served in the Air Force. He  was a skilled woodworker who enjoyed woodcarving and repairing antique furniture. He was a very sociable person who made friends easily. Joe also enjoyed joining his friends for coffee and breakfast at various area diners.
 
Funeral services will be held 11 am Monday at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton. The family will receive friends from 10 am until the time of service. Burial will follow in Glen Castle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please honor Joe's love of animals by making a donation to Every Dogs Dream, 420 Harry L. Drive, Johnson City, 13790.
