Benjamin Banner, 37, unexpectedly passed away on February 18, 2026. Born on July 13, 1988, Benjamin lived a life filled with love, loyalty, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to his family.
Benjamin was preceded in death by his brother, Demetrius Barnett. He is survived by his mother, Dixie Banner; his loving sisters, Rhiannon Barnett and Jania Barnett-Francis; and his brothers, Damien Barnett and Brendan Barnett and a host of nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly and a few special people in his life Dawn Banner, Patti Douglas, Kelly Bly.
Benjamin had a true heart of gold. He loved sports and was a devoted fan of the New York Giants and the Miami Heat. He also loved to sing karaoke, never missing a chance to grab a microphone and bring laughter, energy, and joy to the room. Whether cheering on his teams or singing his heart out, he made memories that will live with us forever.
He was loyal, protective, and caring, always showing up for the people he loved. His presence filled rooms, and his love filled hearts.
Though his passing leaves an unimaginable void, the memories he created and the love he gave so freely will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
A celebration of life will be held at 6:00pm Thursday Feb. 26 at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, calling hours will be held from 4:00pm-6:00pm. He will be laid to rest at a later date at the Green Lawn Cemetery, Bainbridge, NY. The family asks for continued prayers and support during this incredibly difficult time.
