Brenda Jean Peak of Binghamton was 68 years old, and preceded in death by her son, Matthew Thomas Peak along with her parents Clarence Sr. and Jean Roberge and in-laws William and Laura Peak. Brenda is survived by her husband of 43 loving years, the Rev. Robert T. Peak, three children, Andrew (Brianna) Peak, Allison (Michael) Moon and Benjamin (Tenley) Peak, and eight grandchildren, Keegan, Charlotte, Levi, Mason, Olivia, Makenna, Ophelia and soon to come baby boy Peak and her siblings, Judy (John) Chambers, Yvonne (William) Chumchal, Clarence (Sheri) Roberge. Brenda joined her Heavenly Father on September 27, 2024.
Brenda had a fulfilling career that she was very passionate about. She was the Director of the Union Presbyterian Church Preschool in Endicott, NY and moved on to the Binghamton City School District where she worked as a Kindergarten teacher at Woodrow Wilson. She received high accolades and high ratings every single year, not an easy feat. Parent Teacher Association voted Brenda for Best Teacher of the Year. Brenda also committed her time as the Binghamton Teachers Association treasurer for about a decade. Her love and passion for her students, teaching and the Woodrow Wilson community is truly unmatched. She most certainly was a lifelong learner and devoted educator.
Brenda had many hobbies and talents she shared with people she loved. Her card making skills were not only creative, but thoughtful. Every card she constructed was made with immense love. Brenda also enjoyed sharing her passion for crafts with her church family and students. She enjoyed cross stitching, jigsaw puzzles and was passionate about children’s books and toys.
However, what stands out even more is her love and commitment to Robert, her children and grandchildren. They were her life; her absolute pride and joy. She loved and cared about her family so fiercely you could feel it. There are many memories and traditions that her family will keep close to their heart. She has left such a lasting impact on so many and will be missed immensely.

Let my teaching fall on you like rain;
let my speech settle like dew.
Let my words fall like rain
on tender grass,
like gentle showers on young plants.

who strengthens me.
