Carl E. Hippenstiel, 87, passed away on September 6, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Carl was born in Hempstead, New York. He married Sandra (Argent) Hippenstiel on April 13, 1958. They moved to Gilbertsville, New York in 1962. He is survived by his wife of 65 years; daughter, Charlene Daniels; sons, Carl Hippenstiel and Glenn (Tricia) Hippenstiel; grandsons, Benjamin (Emma O’Neill) Daniels, and Tracy Hippenstiel; great grandchildren, K.C. and Gemma. He is also survived by his sister Caroline Olsen and Nieces, Dawn and Kasey.
Carl retired from New York State Dept. of Transportation Bridge Crew. He loved working on his farm and doing leather work. He was very talented and gifted in all and everything that he did. He will be greatly missed.
A private service will be held for the family at a later date. Cremation services provided by Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home.
