Carol Scott Obituary

Carol A. Scott, a cherished soul known for her unwavering love of Christ,  kindness and joyous spirit, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025, in Ocala, Florida, at the age of 80. Born on June 11, 1944, in Binghamton, New York, Carol's life was a testament to love, care, and the pursuit of happiness. Carol's early years in Binghamton were filled with the warmth of family and the discovery of interests that would shape her life. Her journey led her to the love of her life, her devoted husband Leroy, with whom she enjoyed their beautiful families.

She was pre-deceased by her parents, Tony and Helen Martin, son, Donald Griffith,  daughter in-law, Bonnie Griffith, and granddaughter Faith Griffith.

She is survived by her husband, Leroy Scott, sister, Linda Martin, Aunt, Margaret Hamlin, children, Frank, Richard, Gerald,  Anthony (Mindy),  Penny (Sue) and Tammy Griffith; Diane Koehler, Darlene (John) Skiba; step children Wayne Scott, Shelley Haul,  Charlene (Jason) Maciak and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Carol's role as a mother was one she cherished deeply, guiding her children with a gentle hand and a heart full of love.

A woman of many passions, Carol found joy in the rhythm of line dancing, a hobby she not only enjoyed but also taught to others with infectious enthusiasm. Her love for horseback riding showcased her adventurous spirit and connection to nature. Carol was also an avid reader, often found with a book in hand, lost in stories and the endless pursuit of knowledge. However, it was the simple pleasure of spending time with her family that brought Carol the most happiness.

Carol's character was marked by an innate goodness that touched everyone she met. She loved everybody, a fact that was evident in her every action and interaction. Her honesty and caring nature made her a beacon of trust and support within her community. Carol's legacy is one of generosity and authenticity, traits that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we bid farewell to Carol, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and joy. She was a loving wife, a nurturing mother, and a friend to many. Carol's memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories shared by those who loved her and the countless lives she touched. Though Carol's physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit continues to dance among us, guiding and inspiring just as she always has. Her family takes comfort in knowing that Carol's journey was one of fulfillment and love, a journey that will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
