Carol Ann Messenger Obituary

Carol Ann Messenger, 73 of Binghamton New York entered in to eternal life on Friday, May 6, 2022. Carol lost her battle with cancer after surviving a high risk surgery with a relatively small chance of survival with just shear will and determination. Ultimately the cancer returned with a vengeance after a year, but not before she reclaimed her life and enjoyed her time left with family and friends with a new appreciation of how precious life is. Carol was born in New Berlin New York and lived and worked throughout the triple cities area and Phoenix Arizona. She was employed with several companies, but completed over 20 years at Shelter Workshop where she retired. She is predeceased by her father Roy Messenger, mother Bonnie MacDonald, and brother Gordan Messenger. She is survived by her older sister Christine Gill, younger sister Gloria Messenger, her children William Johnston, Tammy Forlano, Steven Johnston and beloved friend Dot whose friendship never wavered. Carol also had seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Visiting will be Wednesday from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton. * (Due to construction approach from Bevier St.)The funeral will be held at 1:00 pm Immediately following the funeral, the procession will proceed to the Chenango Valley Cemetery for burial.
