Darlene Patricia Vitale

Darlene Patricia Vitale, 57, Binghamton, passed away unexpectedly on May 8, 2022. She is survived by her mother, Joan Petersen (George Mondello) children; Jessica Corne and Amanda (Jason Greene) Duncan. Grandchildren; Nova Greene, Christina Greene, Lela Greene, Tessa Greene and her siblings; Julie Hoover, Tommy (Michelle) Petersen, Jamie (Angela) Sanders, Donald (Sherry) Petersen, Billy (Amanda) Yates and Troy (Desiree) Good along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and a long time friend of the family Anthony Vitale. She was predeceased by her grandparents; Robert and Dagmar Petersen.

Darlene was a kindhearted and loving daughter, mother, aunt, sister and grandmother. She had a special spunk to her that always kept everyone on their toes, never knowing what to expect next. A unique soul, truly one of kind. She absolutely loved to make people smile, especially her grandchildren. She loved to visit with them every chance she got, and nothing made her happier than spoiling them and laughing with them. Darlene is truly going to be missed by all that knew her. She was generous and thoughtful. Her love for Disney was like watching a excited kid, she was a big kid at heart. She enjoyed treating herself to luxury items, she loved to shop and make holidays special for all her loved ones; she was the happiest on Christmas day watching everyone open her gift with excitement. Darlene worked as a taxi driver for years to provide for her children and siblings with everything that they needed and wanted. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and coworkers.

Visiting will be held Wednesday May 18 from 4-6pm with a memorial service to follow at 6pm. Held at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home 483 Chenango St. Binghamton, NY 13901.
