Darlene C. (Kacuba) Waffle

Darlene C.  Waffle, 80, of Johnson City, passed away suddenly at her home January 4, 2026. She is survived by her children, Willie Waffle and Tina Waffle. She is preceded in death by her husband Bill Waffle; her parents Joseph and Pauline Kacuba and her brother David Kacuba. Darlene attended Binghamton Central High School. Most of her professional life was spent in early childcare. She provided in-home child care and also worked for Tutor Time Childcare in Vestal and retired as a Pre-toddler teacher from the JCC in Vestal. Darlene enjoyed gardening and trips to the Tioga Downs Casino.

A memorial service will be held 7:00 pm Tuesday January 13 at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango S. Binghamton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm - 6:50 pm. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to UVES in her memory.
