David J. Ford, 62, of Binghamton, NY, passed away on May 30, 2025. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Annette Ford; son, Derek (Kristen) Ford; grandchildren, Hailey and Cameron Ford; brothers, Michael and Thomas Ford; twin sisters, Jennifer (John) Boburka, Michele (Darren) Hannon; nieces and nephews, Zachary Ford, Sara and Jay Boburka, Ryan and Kylee Hannon. David was predeceased by his loving Aunt Loretta (Michael) Schoonmaker. He also had a special place in his heart for his long-time friend, Dawn Meyers.
Dave was larger than life in stature, intention and love for his family. He was a caring son, BIG brother, father, grandfather, and protector of all he cared for. He was a teacher and fierce competitor in a variety of sports, especially basketball and tennis; not to mention a pool shark and bar game extraordinaire.
Dave strived to be the best at everything and boy was he hard to beat! He enjoyed hiking, gardening, betting the ponies and most of all fishing, swimming, and boating on “paradise” in Lake George.
He’ll be remembered for his big dreams, even bigger heart and missed by many. May he rest easy in heaven, until we meet again.
