Deanna Lee (Pickering) Ruckle

Deanna Ruckle passed away on July 20 2021 in Fort Worth Texas.  Deanna was born in Piqua Ohio on July 31, 1940.  She is survived by her husband of 60 years Dale B. Ruckle, children Bennett Ruckle of Arlington, TX , Douglas (Debbie) Ruckle of Eagle River, AK, John Ruckle (Stacey) of Fort Worth, TX, Dale Ruckle II (Jen) of Mansfield, TX. Grandchildren – Austin Ruckle, Jason Ruckle, Brian Ruckle, Derek Ruckle, Kevin Stout, Amanda Alves, Jordan Ruckle and 3 great grandchildren. Brother -  Dennis (Pat) Pickering, sister -  K’Anna (Greg) Black – Sister in law Janet Lee Pre-deceased by her parents Harley & Dorothy Pickering and daughter Antoinette Lynn Nelson Before moving to Fort Worth Deanna lived for many years in Plano where she raised her family and was active in the church and the book club.  Deanna sang in the choir at her church and especially loved spending time with her family enjoying many dinners around the pool with her family.  Her pies and cakes (especially shoo-fly cake) were always enjoyed by all.  She worked for many years as a pre-school teacher before retiring.  Deanna faced many health issues over the years but she was nothing less than the fiercest warrior when it came to fighting to stay with the people she loved.  She always had a smile on her face or a laugh or two that she shared with anyone who visited her or for the many nurses she met over the years who took such great care of her.  A memorial service will be planned in October.
