Diane Elizabeth Goodfellow-Northrup

Diane Elizabeth Goodfellow Northrup , 63, of Endicott NY was born January 3, 1963 in Brooklyn NY has lost the long battle of several Auto immune disease and illnesses on Thursday June 25, 2026.

She is predeceased by her parents Robert and Elizabeth Goodfellow and several very close Aunts and Uncles.

She is survived by the love of her life Randy Northrup.  They were wed April of 1999 bringing this city girl above the tree line to upstate NY. She is further survived by her bonus daughter, Katy, whom she loved as her own, her grandson Anthony, the light of her life, and her brother Scott and nephew Connor and a large extended family.

Diane grew up in Queens playing basketball and the glockenspiel in school and performing with drama club and remembered fondly staring in the Odd Couple.  Upon graduating High School, she attended Wood Secretarial School, receiving her Secretarial Degree. After several years in the work force, she returned to school at Molloy College and received her bachelor’s degree in English.  She would frequently recall her times working for McKane Erickson Advertising and Belmont Race Track prior to moving upstate where she worked for Maine’s Driver Training School and Maine Endwell High School as an aide. 

At the age of 12, Diane joined the International Order of Rainbow for Girls – State of New York.  Her deep devotion to the Order led to holding Grand Line offices beyond the local level. Her active involvement in Rainbow led quickly to her becoming chapter Sweetheart for 3 local DeMolay chapters and eventually being elected to Metro Region Sweetheart and the 1980-1981 State Sweetheart. After reaching majority for both organizations and joining the Order of Eastern Star at 18, Diane returned to DeMolay to become an Advisor, assisting on the state level as both the Director of the Dream Team and the Director of Sweethearts.  Upon her daughter joining the Organization of Triangles, Diane took an active role as a supervisor, eventually becoming Junior Deputy for Endicott Triangle and Senior Advisor for the Southern Tier District.  Later she joined the Daughter’s of the Nile, and in the last several years despite her declining health, she held the office of Queen twice and gathered monthly with the ladies, keeping her active. Throughout all her years of membership in these organizations, Diane made many life long friends and called on them and the memories made with them often, many times referring to them as her Masonic Family.Despite years of fighting against her body, she whole heartedly loved her family, friends and youth she worked with and was a light in many of their worlds. As such, in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her name may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospitals.

The family will receive friend from 2:00 - 4:00 pm Monday July 6 at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton. Funeral services will begin at 4:00 pm with the Daughters of the Nile funeral service, immediately followed by religious services.
