Obituary

Edna Mae Coates, 76, passed away August 10, 2023. She is survived by her her beloved husband Charles; beloved daughter Charlene; sisters Janet Wickham and Carol Tompkins; favorite sister-in-law Dorothy Coates, many nieces, nephews and cousins, many dear friends and her beloved grand-cat Navi. Edna was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Agnes Hagelstein; father-in-law Arthur Coates, brother-in-law Stan Coates and sister-in-law Marilyn Warpus. She was a longtime employee of Endicott-Johnson Shoe Corp. Edna enjoyed reading, especially Stephen King novels. She was an avid fan of the Binghamton Senators hockey team and a member of the Senators booster club where she made many friends.

The family will have a memorial celebration at a later date to be announced. In lieu of flowers honor Edna's love for animals by making a donation to S.P.E.A.K.,351 Flint Rd Binghamton, NY 13905.
