Francis "Sonny" L. Furgeson Jr., 78 of Greene, died January 11, 2022. He is survived by his wife Shirley Furgeson, children, Marion Youngs, Michael (Kenda) Furgeson, Katrina (Christopher) Worden and Nicole Ryan; several grandchildren and great-grandchildrenl his siblings Ronnie Furgeson, Gloria Furgeson, Shirley Furgeson, Darlene Furgeson, Helen Elmore and Ann Wrench; sister-in-law Connie Furgeson. He was predeceased by his parents Francis and Ida and brothers Jeff, Donald and David. Sonny enjoyed fixing and refurbishing antique tractors and was a member of the Southern Chenango Antique Tractor Club. He also enjoyed bowling and was recognized in Greene’s bowling hall of fame. There will be no public services. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donation be made to the Smithville Fire Department.
