Frederic "Jerry" G. Winston, 67, of Greene, formerly of Binghamton died November 1, 2024 at Guthrie-Lourdes Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Donna Lee Winston; their daughter Tami (Irving) Denny; daughter-in-law Kay Marku Colwell; his mother Dolores Illsley; grandchildren Alexis Gates, Tyler Denny, Gray Winston and Brock Denny; great-grandchildren Wesson, Aspen and Madeline; siblings Cathy Brown, Rick Winston, Becky Sharp, Tommy Illsley and Brenda Illsley; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son Gerald Winston; his father and step-mother Frederic and Nancy Winston and sisters Bonnie Bender and Kelly Illsley.
Jerry worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator for Academy Paving and Bothar Construction. He was well known and respected for his paving skills. In retirement he moved to Homosassa, Florida for about 15 years before returning north to Binghamton, ultimately settling in the Town of Greene.
Jerry enjoy hunting with his thirty-aught-six rifle, and fishing. He was a member of the Binghamton Shad Club and enjoyed spending time at their camp in Hancock with his family. While in Florida he enjoyed ocean fishing.
The family will hold a memorial celebration of life at the American Legion Post 1194, Hillcrest on November 17, 2024. Time to be announced.
