Gary F. Braman, 72, passed away November 14, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his family. He is survived by Nancy, his beloved wife of nearly 43 years; their children Tammy (Jerry) Derrick and James (Jenn) Braman; his grandchildren Caitlyn, Courtney, Ryan and Jacob; brother Charles Braman; special friends Al and Carol Kostek, Frankie, Jim Leonard, Sonny DeVivo, Bob Sabin, Bill Arnold, and a nephew Jeff Braman who was always there for him, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and his dog Harley. Gary was a graduate of Windsor High School and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a truck driver for many years and retired from the Teamsters Local 693 with 15 years of service. With his nephew Bill, he was co-owner of Hillside Campground, in Gibson, PA, which was founded by his late brother David. Gary enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was known for his morning check-ins and was the job foreman for any work project. He particularly enjoyed dinner with his family, clambakes, hunting, boating and watching old westerns on television.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 pm Tuesday at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton. A private funeral will be held Wednesday at the funeral home, followed by the conferral of military honors and entombment at Riverhurst Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Guthrie Lourdes Hospice in honor of the care provided to Gary.
