Gerald D. “Jerry” Emmons, Sr., formerly of Harpursville, NY, passed away peacefully November 10, 2025, at Susquehanna Nursing Center. Born May 13, 1942, in Lathrop, PA, he was the son of Embley and Marion (Woodruff) Emmons. Jerry proudly served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1963. Following his service, he enjoyed a long and dedicated career as a machinist at Stowe Manufacturing. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing and was a well-known jokester. Above all, Jerry treasured his family, especially his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers Butch, Junior, and Edward, and his sister Beverly. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle (Jason) Andrews; his son, Jerry Jr. (Kelly) Emmons; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Susquehanna Nursing Center for the compassionate care they provided.
Graveside services with military honors will be held 1:00 pm Monday, November 24, 2025, at Chenango Valley Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home.
