Helen LaBarr

Helen LaBarr, 92, of Binghamton went to be with the Lord July 27, 2025. She is survived by her nieces; Donna LaBarr, Margaret LaBarr and Helen Elkhamis; nephews George LaBarr, James LaBarr, Jr., Harry LaBarr, Stephen LaBarr, Donald LaBarr, Daniel LaBarr, Daniel Serritella and James Serritella; numerous grandnieces and grandnephews as well as great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. She also leaves behind special friends Cheryl Weeks and Cathy Schell along with her devoted niece-in-law and caregiver, Tammy LaBarr, who selflessly provided years of unwavering care, love and support prior to Helen's passing, leaving a legacy of kindness for all to emulate.

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Margaret LaBarr and her siblings, Jean Serritella, George, Donald, and James LaBarr.

Helen worked for many years in the fabric department at Philadelphia Sales in Johnson City. She was a dedicated member of the Nimmonsburg United Methodist Church in Binghamton. Helen devoted her life to her faith and her family, providing loving care for her parents, siblings, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 3 pm Saturday August 2 at the Nimmonsburg United Methodist Church,  918 Upper Front St. Binghamton, NY. A luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers, please make a gift to her church in Helen's memory. She will be laid to rest in the Union Cemetery, Blakely, PA at a later date.
