On January 28, 2024, Isiah Jasper Montgomery affectionately known as "Ikey" a loving father, brother and friend passed away at the age of 29 years old.
Isiah was born on June 7, 1994 in Brooklyn, NY to Dawn Montgomery and William Higgs (Deceased). Isiah was a devoted father, a hard worker, and overachiever. Isiah was raised in Binghamton, NY where he attended elementary school and high school. He eventually ended up graduating from Cherry Valley Springfield High School, where he received multiple scholarships. Isiah also attended college at SUNY DELHI. His love for rapping, music, video games and basketball will always be in remembrance.
Isiah was predeceased by his father William Higgs. His memory will be honored and kept by his two beautiful daughters Amiyah Montgomery and Ka'Maiyah Montgomery. His Mother Dawn Montgomery, step- father James Cardwell "pops"; foster mother Becky, grandparents Narvice(maternal) Willie & Delores Higgs(paternal) and Gloria Cardwell. Aunts and uncles Detrol Montgomery, Joyce Montgomery (Deceased), Kevin Hall, Sharon Cardwell (Deceased), Leon, James and Cookie Higgs. His siblings Jasmin (Keith) Anthony, Ebony, Keilah, James and Naemiah. His godmother Samantha Lewis and a host of nieces and nephews, along with many cousins. Isiah will be remembered by his big heart, warm smile, and his infectious laugh.
On behalf of the Montgomery family thank you all for your prayers, calls, cards and just being a help in such an unfortunate circumstance. Words cannot express our gratitude, thank you.
A Homegoing service will be held 11:00 am Saturday Feb. 10th at New Hope Ministries 28 Frederick St. Binghamton, NY. The family will receive guests at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service. He will be cremated following the services.
