Jeffrey J. Group

  Jeffrey J. Group, 74, of Binghamton, NY, died unexpectedly at his home, April 13, 2024. He was born in the Bronx, son of Donald and Marian (nee Chernin) Group.

He was a graduate of Evander High School and attended St. John's University.

He spent many years in retail management working for Woolworth and Wilco. It was while working in this capacity that he met Linda Kassel, whom (after a little convincing) he made his wife.

After leaving retail, Jeff moved to Binghamton, NY and drove bus for Broome County Transit, until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife Linda Kassel Group, his son Bryan Stewart Group, his brother Michael (and Julius) Group, along with cousins. His parents preceded him in death.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Wednesday May 22, 2024 at Sharon Gardens Cemetery, Valhalla, New York. Those attending are asked to assemble at the cemetery office by 1:15 pm.
