Jennie Marie Brown "Jean" passed from this life on Monday, June 14, 2021. She was 89 years old, the daughter of Mary and Clement Kulbis. She was pre-deceased by her brother, John. Jennie was married to Carlton Brown for forty-two years until his passing in 1994. Jennie was very active in community politics. She helped found the Binghamton Rape Crisis Center and she walked picket lines in support of workers' rights. Jennie was an avid sports fan and supported her sons' and daughter's participation in a wide range of sports. She was a perennial season ticket holder with the Binghamton Mets and the BU women's and men's basketball teams. One night at a Little League game, when the umps went to the wrong field, Jennie was drafted out of the stands to umpire the game. She didn't have one call challenged. Jennie also loved to travel and visited China, India, Japan, Romania, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
Jennie is survived by her four sons; Lee (Poughkeepsie); Lance and wife, Mary (Rochester); Kris and wife, Marge (Binghamton); Todd (Mesa); daughter, Stacey and husband, Willie (Syracuse). Jennie also had ten grandchildren; Kira, Danika, Jordan, Laurel, Frank, Sophie, Katrina, Anthony, Shealyn, Michaela and one great-grandchild, Christopher.
Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
